AppRiver Promotes Scott Cutler to Chief Operating Officer

AppRiver, LLC, a leading provider of e-mail messaging and Web security solutions, today announced that Scott Cutler, formerly AppRiver's Executive Vice President (EVP), has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer (COO).

"Scott is a tremendously talented leader who has played a key role in the growth and development of AppRiver," said Michael Murdoch, CEO, AppRiver. As EVP, Cutler was responsible for directing global strategy and overseeing channel distribution for the company. Since joining AppRiver in 2003, he has been instrumental in building the company's worldwide customer base to more than 40,000, which includes businesses, government agencies, educational institutions and non-profit organizations.

In his new role, Cutler will focus on day-to-day operational activities, including expense, cost and margin control, revenue and sales growth and monthly, quarterly and annual financial goal management. He will oversee the development, design and overall improvement of AppRiver's e-mail and Web security solutions.
