They say to be nominated for any award is an honor, but to be a five-time winner – among a field of subject matter experts – is truly extraordinary.
Just ask AppRiver Senior SharePoint Escalation Lead David Petree, who was selected as a 2018 Microsoft MVP Award winner – for the fifth time in as many years.
“It’s a great feeling to help people by doing what you love,” David said. “I am passionate about sharing my knowledge with the community, as well as helping our customers, partners, and team members with technical issues. To be recognized for that work makes it all the more special.”
A 10-year AppRiver veteran, David has spent most of that time as a SharePoint expert, answering questions, solving problems, and teaching best practices for using the Microsoft intranet platform. His skills and experience earned him a place among only 4,000 technical experts and community leaders spread across 90 countries.
“SharePoint is where my passion is,” David said. “I learn something new every day and there aren’t many products you can say that about. SharePoint is always a challenge, but it’s a phenomenal resource that many customers need help with – and doing that makes my days worthwhile.”
What does it take to be a Microsoft MVP? It takes being an expert and loving what you do, according to the Microsoft website. Microsoft’s Most Valuable Professionals receive this award for their commitment to technology as well as for sharing their knowledge of Microsoft, and its products and services with the world across many different platforms.
